Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Topshop jackets - regular or tall?

    Hi all, there is a faux leather jacket I wanted to get from the Topshop website and going by reviews from similar jackets the jacket itself is quite short,
    I was thinking about going for the one from the tall range, ( i'm 5ft 7 1/2 ) to get the extra bit of length in the jacket but I was wondering if the body and fit of the jacket would be the same, like would the shoulders still be stitched to the same proportion as the normal size jacket or would there be more of a gap? I don't know if i'm explaining it very well but bascially I like the shoulders of my jackets to be completely fitted, I don't like it to be loose in that area or puffed up iykwim?

    Anyone know?

    Could you link us to the jacket?

    From my experience, I would go for the standard fit. The tall range is aimed at people 5'7" and above, but I still think the sleeves would be too long on you. The tall jeans are a 36" leg, where as standard fit is 32" leg. I'm the same height as you and my Topshop standard fit leather jacket's sleeves are just right.

    I'm not sure whether the shoulders would be broader.

    Regular or Tall

    I'm basing the reviews on a similar jacket from last year where everyone said it came up short.

    I'm not too worried about the arms being long, it's the shoulders being broader that bothers me.

    Edit: Just noticed the tall jacket isn't made in a size 6 so I will have to go with the regular size.

    I don't think the shoulders will be a problem, they tend to broaden as the size goes up.

    Thanks for your advice, I just edited my last post because I realised the tall jacket doesn't come in a 6 so I will have to go for the normal one.
