While adequate home broadband (fixed line up to 8mb) is available in the town, some businesses apparently have problems getting sufficient upload rates with one example traveling to other towns daily to transmit files.

What is the level of broadband infrastructure coming into the town for business use? And why on earth were Metropolatin Area Networks installed in Kiltimagh and Ballinrobe lying idle when towns like Castlebar and Westport with larger industrial/business base were not?
