Jesus, really make or break for Kenny so.

Maybe they can only afford to sack him if they win.

I'd say they were worse than Flora. Flora were terrible when they had to come forward in Tallinn. Other than their left winger (Velitas?) and his pace, they had no threat at all. I wouldn't want anything to happen to Sullivan and have Gilbert against him next week. Flora were built like machines last year, this lot were being barged off the ball by McCabe, Brennan, Finn, Kavanagh.

Rovers had tracking back wingers, helping out the fullbacks and so no centre halves having to cover out wide and looked very strong at the back. Whenever Powell got caught out, even McCabe was there to clear or cover. Why it doesn't happen every week I don't know. Finn was excellent, everywhere. The desire and tempo was there, not the pre-season ambling pace of most of the season.

2-0 wouldn't have flattered this Rovers side, but when the normal Rovers side this season goes 1-0 down away from home, it rarely stays 1-0...

Yeah, based on what I saw last night, it’s hard to look beyond Rovers for the second leg. A lot is being made of the fact that Ekranas’ are unbeaten in their last 5 home games in Europe, but they only won one of those ties (against Valletta). And of course, Rovers only need a score draw. If Rovers grab an early goal I think that’ll be game over.
