Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hi everyone.
I have 2 yr old and 16 week old boys. We have recently moved to Waterford city from the US. I would like to set up some informal playdates with other mums and their children in the area.
In the US the mums and babies would meet up every week or so to chat, go to the park, go to library, on walks or just go to each others houses. It was great for the kids and the mums also...
So if you know of other mums in the area who may be interested please let me know...
I have also set up a facebook page...Waterford mums group.
Hopefully if I can get enough mums together we could get a good social circle going
    Claire

There is likely to be a local public health nurse that can help out with the baby who would know the local groups. Check with the local GP for contact details. http://www.hse.ie/eng/services/maps/map.html?showDoc=1&

My wife is part of Cuidiu in our local area. She finds them a great bunch of people. They meet 2 mornings and an afternoon every week.

I really had to re-read your post a few times, a 2 year old and twin boys? Wow, yeah o go to the crudiu meeting in waterford, its brilliant and they all to to buggy fit too! Many mums there have toddlers as well as babies too so the 2 yr old would have playmates. Ill send you a link for the f/b page when i get to my computer. Welcome to waterford!

Coatsalcarrot would you mind posting or PMing me the link to your facebook group? I'm from just outside Waterford & would be interested in this.

Welcome to Waterford/Ireland & fair play for being so proactive about getting to meet people. Hope it works out really well :)
