Women were seen as second class citizens (and still are in a lot of countries). This is why they didn't contribute to history as much as men did.

Doubt it. We are afterall the people who taught them to read and write. We're not dominated by the English. If the English were superior then they wouldn't have been kicked out of a Country of 4,000,000, despite having an Empire of several hundred million. Your insinuation above is that women have no place in history because of lack of rights. We had no rights here (Though we did earn them) but that didn't stop the Irish (Men) flourish, by moving if needs be.

I had an awkward moment this morning when I bumped into someone I haven't seen in about a year. I had heard from a very good source that his wife had left him due to finding him looking at child pornography but this wasn't general knowledge yet. So I just did an awkward "Well" and went about my business. How would all of you AHers have handled this?

This whole hacking was carried out by /v/ on 4chan last night as a reaction to the "tropes versus women" business on kickstarter. The password and login page was given out to everyone and a bunch of people went in to start messing around with the code.

One of the most common trolls in that situation is for someone to go in and fake an FBI warning to cause inexperienced people to freak out when they see it. Just out of common sense the FBI are never going to alert you, if you're getting messages like that its purely somebody trying to troll you.

I'd heard about the child porn as a lot of people over there were worried about it as well, the only person who'd be held accountable for that is the person who uploaded or linked to it. (I'm not sure which it was, thankfully I saw the site before it had degraded to that kind of thing)
If you were linked to a monitored location there'll have been hundreds of others linked there as well. You've nothing to worry about at all, you've just been trolled by people who want you to panic.

Under the "Options" Section there is another section that says "Secure Deletion"

In that section you can do absolute 'Bleach wiping' (you can say how many bleaches) - also specifying single or multiple drives.

Not that this would be followed up on but if you do erase your HD you'll have erased the evidence that you were redirected from a raided site unknowingly. If you're logged in a monitored chatroom, theres nothing you can do about it because your IP record will have been there, if investigated upon erasing your HD will not only make you look suspicious but you'll have also erased the evidence that you did nothing wrong, idiocy of the highest order whom ever advised you to do that.

CCleaner works fine for what it does. About all it is good for is hiding a browsing history from a nosey partner/flat mate, depending on it for your future freedom and\or wellbeing, well.. allow me to indulge myself with this [rolleyes].. :rolleyes:

When you delete files from the recycle bin, fragments of those files still remain on your hard drive. This software will permanently delete the files, leaving no traces, which will free up a lot of disk space too.

If there's inappropriate content on your hard drive you can still get yourself into trouble, even if you claim to know nothing about it. Yes your IP will still be on the website, assuming the website is still up and running that is. There's also the option of using a proxy server.

Something similar happened to me via email where it had an attachment and something in the body of the email about child porn. I never opened the attachment because I presumed it was a virus or even some CP, so I contacted hotline.ie just in case I was liable for the contents of the email so there'd be a record of me reporting it.
