I was staying with a friend and paying some of the bills (well most actually) & contributing to the shopping. They recently said they couldn't afford to have me there & not pay rent. But because they are on benefits thought they'd lose them.

So they told me to leave, I had a cla for disability going through & they've just sent me the letter refusing it. But I want to appeal & it's after the 21 days time limit. The reason I didn't change my address was because I was using theirs as a care of one until I found a permanent place to stay. (I've been sleeping on friends sofas but now found a room to rent)

What are the chances of me appealing explaining the reason for it being late or will I have to reapply ? Or someone suggested I get the dr to sign sick notes and I claim sickness benefit ?
