I do like the Merc alright but it can be very crowded on a Saturday night.

We could book the area in and to the left - nice spot and then we will be comfortable

I wouldn't say no to somewhere like The Longstone.Nice pints, decent smoking area and never too crowded.

longstone can be mad (it was for a noc beers I was at anyway) - ya can't book an area can you?
Lar what was the name of that pub on Aungier St that you dragged us to?
    That was nice.

The Karma stone? against the grain? The Swan? JJ's?

Never been to the Swan but heard good things. Does it have a late bar?

Mercantile is always heaving and is fairly pricey.

Never been to the Swan but always thought it looked dodge walking by, explains why Lari likes it then. :pac:

    Oi!

The Swan would be a relatively quiet enough bar, nothing fancy. Call it an old man's pub. But it would be good for the mingling, the pints are less than a fiver and the bar staff are nice. No short shorts though.

?Late bar - not sure to be honest.

If theres no late bar maybe we should pass - theres nothing much close to go after (whelans/the village will be chockers)

I am up to my eyes in work so really can't check this all that often! May need a hand!

Shall we start an RIP Bluewolf thread, so? :pac:

Ah no, but I think this Swan place is close enough to the Wexford Street/Harcourt Street area that there would be somewhere close to head if it's not a late bar.

On a Saturday night everywhere from Capitol to the bleeding horse will be packed, good luck in getting in with a big group!

The only place you'd stand a chance would be the palace, and if you are going there ya may as well book some tables in there and do who whole shebang in there!

About 60% sure i can make this, I dont mind wear we go really!
    Coppers
Ye could go to the Dawson Lounge and force everyone into a small claustraphobic space and socialise. The new Piano Bar off baggot street i've heard is fun. You can also reserve the downstairs of the Gingerman (cheap house beers), you'd want 20-30 people though.

I may have to finally take the plunge and do boards beers.

Can i still wear short shorts even if we go to Capital? They're the honey-ec version of dresses/skirts, cause I don't "do" them...

Oh the short shorts thing refers to a particularly hot barmaid in Cassidys!!

All those with nice arses are permitted to wear short shorts to any beer locations :D

Ah now I'll be afraid to wear them in case everyone thinks I'm a tw@t. And I live in short shorts during the summer :-(
