    Hi,

sanded down and put wood stain on my front door ( only 1 coat).

Colour is wrong and turned out horrible - misses is looking for it to change it as she is suggesting it is too dark.

Other than sanding it - what is the best way to remove it?

    Should I use a chemical?

    Any help required is appreciated.

Chemical paint stripper, scrape off woodstain, then sand . Use steel wool along the grain to help get a smooth finish. Clean with white spirits as water can raise the grain.
That's how I done my doors and windows.
