Ouch, took a bit of a spanking in that match last night. Got a couple of tries on the board though, so not too bad.

Funnily enough, the team who beat me well last night (the Danny's) are in the same league as the team I play in the cup next week, and they just played them and beat them 10 - 8. SO it was a nice little bit of information to know that they got a hell of a lot closer than I did, so makes the decision to drop out of the cup now a lot easier as I was toying with the idea of going for it again, but in all likelyhood, based on us both playing the same oppisition in the same week and the difference in results, that it would be wasted valuable energy, so that worked out well....sort of. :)

hi jackass thats my 2nd team the dannys, ya i was kinda surprised with that win tbh so it was a good decision to drop out the cup

Yeah I play UL Bohs in the next round, so gonna just throw out reserves and play WNWIM as I doubt I'd win if I went for it anyway, so just gonna save it for assault on the league.

Good win for you though, was fairly conclusive.

thanks my kicker had an on day. but that team is a nice bit older than yours too

    front row fairies | 3 | 0 | 3 | 0 | 25 | 86 | -61 | 0 | 0 | 0

Newcomers to the division Ladyboys are looking to bounce straight back to division 2 next season after chalking up 3 wins out of 3. They face stiff competition from Kilsough South who after finishing in the trophies last season is looking to go better this time round. The Warriors trail the Ladyboys by a single point due to not earning as many bonus points. Wandering Wanderers, Reaper RFC, Westside and last season'sdivision 4 champions Newcastle West have all earned victories and points. At the bottom two new teams, Yermen and Front Row Fairies are finding it difficult and yet to get off the mark.

    Div 4

    Club | Played | W | L | D | For | Against | Margin | BT | BL | Total
    Rath Rugby Club | 3 | 2 | 0 | 1 | 99 | 34 | 65 | 2 | 0 | 12

    Ulster trials | 3 | 0 | 3 | 0 | 36 | 80 | -44 | 0 | 0 | 0

3 teams level on points at the top here in what looks to be the tightest division in this Boards comp. Last season's div. 5 runner-up Revan RFC are the only team with a 100% record but despite this they only sit in third place due to not having any binus points. Rath Rugby Club in first and Dread0s in 2nd are so tightly matched they even drew their game in week 1! Fingal Physicians, Casey's Guinness and Mayo Migrants have all picked up wins while Div 5 champions Chocolate Chompers have a single losing bonus point to their name.. Ulster Trials prop up the division having yet to score a point.

Lost by a try. If I keep getting bonus points from losses, I'll be avoiding relegation the cheeky way for sure!

The Dannys lead the way impressively, while the Westmen continue to improve and look likely to mount an assault on the leaders when they meet in Thursday night's clash. The Celtic Superstars will look to recover from their first defeat of the campaign when they take on Edmonton Eggchasers, who themselves will be looking to record back to back victories. The Celtic Superstars conquerors on Thursday night, The Slashers, will look to build on their momentum and claim their sixth straight victory in a row in all competitions. They face a Nanjing RFC side awaiting their first points of the campaign. Nenagh Ormond travel to take on Blue Magic in what could prove be a very interesting affair with both sides needing the points to kickstart their season. Expect fireworks here.

Having a bit of a disastor in this league and can't see it getting better any time soon! :D

Have been tinkering with selection and tactics a lot lately, hope to put in a stronger second half of the campaign, but we'll have to wait and see!

Still have to play a couple of fellow basement dwellers in the coming weeks, so need to pick up something from those! :p

The top of the table clash between the previously unbeaten Ladyboys and Kilsough South went the way of the home team. Ladyboys managed to earn the try bonus as well as extending their unbeaten run. The Warriors drop to 3rd as Wandering Wanderers move up the table after winning away to Front Row Fairies. The Fairies are yet to win a point after four games and will need to buck up to avoid consecutive relegations. Yermen scraped a close fought victory against Reaper who had to settle for a losing bonus point on their home turf while Yermen celebrate their first win in division 3. Westside beat Newcastle West to leapfrog them in the table.

    Div IV

    Ulster trials | 4 | 0 | 4 | 0 | 39 | 104 | -65 | 0 | 0 | 0

Rath Rugby Club and Dread0s are still matching eachother result for reult and bonus point (or lack thereof this week) for bonus point, both teams winning this week. Rath edge the top spot due to superior point difference. Fingal Physicians moved to 3rd this week after beating Casey's Guinness overtaking Revan who lost to the Dread0s. Only 4 points seperate the top four teams in division IV with a similarly small gap between the bottom four. Only Ulster Trials are yet to secure a win after Chocolate Chompers beat Mayo Migrants to move out of the drop zone by leaping the Mayo men.

Had a pretty epic game with Nenagh Ormond. The lead swapped hands about 4 times, with me nudging ahead with 8 minutes to go, but then conceeded 2 late tries to go 12 behind and then lost a try right at the end to get back in for a losing bonus!! XD

Pretty happy with the performance though, didn't think I'd get close to him, but a highly entertaining game!! :)

    Blue Magic | 5 | 0 | 5 | 0 | 61 | 155 | -94 | 0 | 1 | 1

The Slashers await next for for The Dannys, who will be looking to continue their undefeated record in the league this season. While their opponents were securing a resounding victory against third placed Westmen, The Slashers suffered a surprise setback with defeat at the hands of Nanjing RFC. Nanjing's courageous victory sees them lifted off the bottom of the table for the first time this season, and they will hope to build on that victory when they travel to a resurgent Nenagh Ormond. The bonus point secured by Nenagh Ormond against Blue Magic leaves both them and Edmonton Eggchasers chasing a top-half berth in Matchweek 6, with Edmonton Eggchasers hoping to avenge their defeat to the Celtic Superstars when they take on Westmen at the Sports Ground. The Celtic Superstars meanwhile face Blue Magic in a game where the points are vital to both sides, as Blue Magic look to move away from the foot of the table, and Celtic Superstars look to maintain pressure on The Dannys as we approach the half-way point of the league.

Geraldine RFC is a team going through a massive club overhaul. A lot of new faces coming in, a lot of old faces going out. The result will be very different next time ;)
