Rodgers defo looks to be getting cover in who might turn out to be capable of making the jump in quality to challenge for a first team slot.

20 goals in 68 games by a winger in the Eredivisie is not to be sniffed at. Must have other attributes that fits your manager's playing preferences. Cheap price too.

So it looks like nobody has heard of the lad, can anyone think of a player who was signed for any club who was unknown and turned out to be savage? I never heard of Vorm before he went to Swansea, he turned out to be pretty savage for Fantasy League. Looks like he can play LW / FW / RW. Rodgers must be dead set on getting us to score more this season!

He has been doing well in the Dutch league for the past few seasons and has been linked to the bigger clubs in France and Holland this season. He is not a big name, but hardly an unknown to anyone who has even a passing interest in the Euro leagues. Would be a more well known name from the Dutch league for example than the likes of Mertens who gets mentioned on here from time to time. Plus Belhanda has been bigging him up for the past 12 months.

seen him 3/4 times last season on ESPN
was very impressive each time but it is only the Eredivise
but still 3m is a great price for him

Most fans hadn't heard of either Tiote or Cabaye. Ronaldo was an unknown until he embarrassed Gary Neville in a practice match.

No. Sahin is a CM or AM. Oussama Assaid is a RWF, LWF, and ST who can also play as a traditional winger. Plays on the left side more often than not but is the type that links up and beats a guy with a trick or a dribble rather than sprinting past guys.

Am just so impressed how the club managed to pull this off. Not in that the player is a huge mega signing, but to do so without a sniff from the media and despite the fact the player was being linked with a move to a number of other clubs this summer who had CL footy to offer.
