Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Enrique was shockingly bad in that half. Quite worried about him going into next season. McLaughlin on the side in contrast I thought had a great half. Covered some amount of ground getting up in support at every opportunity.

Bit of quality from both Shelvey and Sterling there. Touch from Sterling to bring the ball down was sublime.

Can't believe the commentary completely missed it on ESPN. Was a super piece of skill to pluck it out of the air.

Well impressed with Shelvey in that half.

    Don`t send him on loan.

    Soft hands?

Makes sense. Hands relaxed, cushioning the ball nicely as it comes in to you.

    Cole and Shelvey good.

Enrique very poor and not the standard I'd expect of Aquilani.

    The rest, Meh.

shelvey qualifies for ireland - would be a great addition

He's good enough to play for England, therefore, he doesn't play for Ireland

Enrique is still on the beach I think.

We need to improve that position this summer but we haven't been linked with many left backs.

Off to watch this in bed, if the second half is anywhere near as good as most of the first, I reckon I will be asleep after the first 5.

Buy up that 50% of Insua we don't own and bring the lad back. Would be very happy to have him competing with Enrique next season.

Classic Enrique cross there. Shocking standard for a professional.

He's definitely the Joe Cole of this match anyway!

Dani looking lively from the start of the half. Good to see.

Do we have any LBs on the bench?

The better Joe Cole does in these games, the more feasibly we can wave f*ck off to him!! Go play, Joe. Play!!

That's basically his final ball in every game.

Shelvey is a real joy to watch in this game. I love his confidence and swagger.

The boy Shelvey is gonna be some player. He seems to have bulked up a lot in the last few months.

Really caught in two minds about whether or not he should be loaned next year. Thinking I'd rather keep him as I feel he could do pretty well for us, issue is game time. Regardless of the decision I think this time next year could well be a starter in the eyes of many.

He's part of the deal as a loan for the season, not a permanent transfer.

Get used to what just happened there for the coming season .

Until the team get used to the new formation and play then quick balls and out of position wingers will leave the high back line exposed . There will be plenty of times we see opposition players in behind .
I just hope Reina has his sweeper hat on for most games .

Lucas on, should sort out a few things.

For a season loan mate, not for transfer.

Can't stay awake any longer, heading to bed.

Positives for me: Shelvey, Cole and McLaughlin.

    Negatives: Gulacsi, Spearing and Eccleston.

Everyone else was a bit meh.
