FSG like to buy young players, Turn them into valuable players sell them while they are 27-29, before they are worth nothing,
So i can see agger been sold for 20m

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 36,508 ✭✭✭✭BorneTobyWilde

And Agger has only had one good season,
Been injured quite a bit,It was only last season that he moved Carra out of the team,

    Agger 20m
    Carroll 17m
    Skrtel 15m

All could be gone before start of season

  • Registered Users Posts: 5,952 ✭✭✭Morzadec

Great great news that Uruguay are out! Suarez should be raring to go come the 18th

If we sold agger and skrtel he might just be the biggest troll in the history of football, our defence is pretty solid, bar enrique maybe! Carra is way past his best and coates is hard to judge at the moment.

Id say all will stay though

Still unsure about Coates as well he still not ready for a regular first team place

He is for Uruguay, so I'd say he would be for Pool as well.

I'd be up for selling Agger for a big fee if we were any use at

    a: Signing players
b: Using players that we sign.

    But we are not.

    Well put.

    I'll add one more:

    c. Could attract players of the highest quality.

Fact is, if we sell Agger we are downgrading and will be incapable of replacing him with anything near the same quality

This thread really is a slow motion pile up of stupid thoughts these days.

The club plays its cards so tight to its chest no one on the outside has a clue.

That's actually how it should be.

Stop **** yourselves silly with speculation. What would you have done before the internet? Hit refresh on Ceefax every 30 seconds? Its summer, the Olympics are on.

The club are beavering away with not a thought for what you think or care. Be equally dismissive of them until news actually breaks.

It does in my hole. The world and it's dog know by the time we sign pretty much anyway and it typically drags out for an age. Can't recall the last time I woke to read we had signed someone unexpectedly.

Luis Suárez has angrily criticised the supporters who targeted him for sustained abuse during Great Britain's match against Uruguay, accusing them of a "total lack of respect".
Suárez also received the public backing of his Liverpool and Uruguay team-mate Sebastian Coates, who said the crowd had "gone too far" after another night when Suárez was repeatedly booed.
The jeering interrupted the playing of the Uruguay national anthem after Suárez was shown on the big screen and the striker hit out after a 1-0 defeat that meant his team were eliminated.
"I think they jeer me and they boo me because they must be scared of facing a player like me," he said. "They fear me, but that doesn't affect me. I'm just hurt because we lost and we are going home. I can take the abuse … but I think it was a total lack of respect from the crowd to boo when we were trying to sing our national anthem. I think those things should not happen."
Suárez's unpopularity with opposition crowds can be traced back to his altercation with Patrice Evra last season and the Football Association hearing that ruled he had racially abused the Manchester United player. Suárez was banned for eight matches and has been one of the more reviled players in the Premier League ever since.
"I'm tired of this situation with Luis," Coates said. "I think it has gone too far and I don't like to see him treated like this. I know the kind of person he is and I think the abuse he gets is very unfair. He knows all his team-mates and a whole country are fully behind him and I think fans over here should leave him alone."

Don't care if it does as long as the club backs him up. He has every right to be pissed. It's getting ridiculous at this stage. People that boo players are mentally retarded.

Luis at this stage doesn't seem to give a crap and seems willing to broach the subject at every opportunity.

He seems more upset that they booed during the the National Anthem rather than the boos for him personally.

It's stupid, its the last thing he wanted but because of these idiots at the games its on topic again.

Use it to push on Luis!

I can see where hes coming from and it would annoy anybody to hear booing during their national anthem . I don't think he has said or will say a big fcuk you because to me a big fcuk you would mean he would refuse to engage with any form of the press in the UK after the way he was hung out to dry .

The booing through all the matches with Saurez was disgraceful but hater's will hate

The IOC should of stepped in or still should because not a good showing for them

Christ. This transfer window is only slightly less depressing than Hodgson's one so far.

Dani finally looks like he could really develop into the player we hoped for, would be on low wages, great backup option, and we're gonna get rid.

I wish I could do what Mike suggested, but alas, I lack the willpower.

Young, technically good, wants to prove himself and as you say low wages. It will be boil my blood watching Cole pull on a Liverpool shirt if we move Dani on without giving him any kind of a chance.

Reports that we're trying to get a loan deal for Borini back to Roma. Looks like we stuck him on 100k a week which may be a problem but Ayre has said we will stump up 80% if they can do the rest.

Roma just signed Mattia Destro on loan and Nicolas Lopez. Both will turn out to be good players but surely Roma have enough players with Bojan, Destro, Lopez, Totti, Osvaldo and maybe even Boriello if Zeman decides to keep him. Would be a bad move for both camps IMO.

    http://www.thisissouthwales.co.uk/Swansea-City-s-Joe-Allen-closes-Liverpool-switch/story-16624669-detail/story.html

JOE Allen has agreed terms on a bumper contract with Liverpool as the midfielder edges closer to the Swansea City exit door.

The Evening Post can reveal the Allen camp were given permission to speak to Liverpool last month.

And we understand the 22-year-old has settled on an Anfield deal which, a source explained, will “set him up for life”.

If true (I can't see anything on his Twitter saying it though), that's three managers now who've deemed him surplus to requirements. We've seen him make what, 5-6 competitive appearances at Liverpool? He's looked decent and is only 21, but barely appearing for Norwich in the Championship while there, and then being loaned to Atletico and then by proxy to Rayo Vallecano for a season and still not getting regular first-team football or a permanent deal with either doesn't say much for the lad.

Remember the big deal was made over a small pocket of Liverpool supporting idiots booing the national anthem at Wembley?

Well now a whole stadium did it? will any thing happen? will it ****. It wasnt even mentioned at half time, yet congratulations was given to the Welsh for not booing the Team Great Britiain anthem

This harassing of Suarez is the medias fault as they knwo they influence they have over the knuckle dragging majority

Sad to hear about Pacheco :( I hope Rogers isnt another one with a little Englander mentality

Pacheco leaving isn't that big of a deal when you look at it. He has been at the club for 5 years, has been given a few chances at loan, and so far hasn't really delivered. Yes he is gifted and yes he is committed to the club. but then again, Ryan Babel ticked those boxes and look where he is now. If Brendan Rodgers has looked at the likes of Ibe, Suso and Sterling and thinks these guys have better prospects, then there isn't much point leaving Pacheco to rot in the reserves for another year.
