Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Is it the recession? Mid age crisis? AH used to be the place for doing things outside the box (opening carefully left there...) but is it becoming the nerd ville of cyber space, the bored of boards.ie?

Considering there is a thread on the front page about someone asking about peoples perverting habits, I would have to say no after hours has not become to serious.

I have been trying for about a week now to inject some humour to an AH religion thread but I dunno, maybe its my sense humour but nobody there gets it  I am now searching for the Walter Mitty Thread as recommended by another poster  I will also have to move house as I am now stressed about being petrol bombed or knee capped & you're looking for humour

Wern't you the guy the other night trying to get unbaptised - did you get sorted - I did follow for a while but got bored :D I even googled the difference between baptism & christening to see if I could help you but then got distracted by something more interesting.

I haven't posted in a long time for that reason, AH went to the dogs. This evening I'm deciding to give it another shot!

    I cam crawling back :P

Getting unbaptised is easy, you just get a Hells Angel to wee on your forehead while chanting "I unbaptise thee" three times. I know loads of lads who have done it, some even for religious reasons. There can be issues with the paperwork side of things, but everything else is all good.

Surely being unbaptised is like being forced to have an exorcism by your psycho granny then going back a few years later asking for the demons to be put back?

Yeah it got serious there about 6.30 but it's lightening up again now so no harm done.

    True Story:

3 AH members walk into a bar. The barkeep says: Remember what happened last time...assume the position. Then as he...

Wait...I'm sure everyone's heard this one before.

Not fair. Who wouldn't be happy if they were only sick half the time they currently are now?

Is it, that's great I'm on sick leave at the moment. It will help me sleep better tonight knowing that there are people annoyed by my sick leave payment. It's only full pay for the first six months, after that it starts to reduce.

I'm not annoyed by your sick leave :D - I'm annoyed I'm not in the PS & have no intention of bashing anyone for making a better career choice than myself.

    Nope.

You still got your 'joke' threads, unimportant threads, random threads and you still got your 'serious' threads and thats whats good about AH. You can read all sorts.

Only problem is you can get a few as*holes posting some jokey comment in thread that there has no place for humor (for random example, someone posts a news story about 3 people getting knocked over. You'd always get a few wan*kers making a sick joke.)

So I see, hadn't read that far when I posted. I think a good lively debate is more interesting reading anyway than keyboard comedians.
