    Hi,

anyone know of adult dog groups in the meath area? Looking for somewhere to bring two dogs for socialisation. I've one very nervous/ anxious golden retriever, and would like to work on this before the second learns to behave the same way..

    Any help appreciated!

I don't know about socialisation groups, but maybe look into dog training classes? You can find a list of trainers/behaviourists on the APDT website
    http://apdt.ie/index.php/find-a-trainer/dog-trainers-in-county-meath/
If you have a chat with them, they could advise you on the best way forward. One of my dogs is very nervous and reactive towards strange dogs, and I thought that he would never be allowed in a class. However, when I spoke to a behaviourist with a mind to booking a one to one behavioural session, she told us to join her classes. It's the best money I ever spent - although it is early days, he is becoming much better as he is spending time in the vicinity of other dogs and I am learning how to address his issues. It's all based on positive reinforcement techniques. Every dog is different of course, and approaches may vary (eg. classes, one to one, socialisation sessions), but I'm sure that a chat with a behaviour expert could set you on the right course.
