Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

The Mad Max films were all class though. Not saying the song was better than the Thunderdome.

The entire soundtrack from that godawful vampire movie Underworld is better than the film itself. It's a class example of how a good soundtrack can make a movie better than it actually is. Best track IMHO is 'Red Tape' by Agent Provocateur.

Devo I Can't Get No Satisfaction from the good Casino but the song is just brilliant and IMO is better than the Stones' 1965 original.

Who remembers the theme tune to Flashdance? I don't, but I do remember this:

I really liked Working Girl - but the Carly Simon theme tune was even better:

Death has this much to be said for it:
You don’t have to get out of bed for it.
    Wherever you happen to be
    They bring it to you—free.

Not sure if it counts as think most songs weren't originally written for the movie, but Easy Rider is a crap film that's just choc-full of classic songs.

That U2 Batman song reminds me of an even better song from an even worse Batman film. It's the Smashing Pumpkins:

The song won a Grammy, while the film won several Razzies. :pac:

Flash Gordon is a great film!

(is anyone else finding that the youtube screens take an age to form as the page hangs?)

The Mortal Kombat theme. (I still like the film)

Morricone's 'Gabriel's Oboe', written for The Mission:

Mascagni's 'Intermezzo', used in Raging Bull:

Arvo Part's 'Spiegel im Spiegel', used in Gerry:

"Help!" by the Beatles, great album and song. Their attempt at making a movie of the same name was poor imo.

what exactly does "I've been kissed by a rose on the grey" mean

The common consensus is that the song is about coke. "When it snows, my eyes become large and the light that you shine can't be seen" Basically, he is high as a kite :p

Most of them were better than the films .If you still watch films after 30 you might have a developmental issue .

Seriously, what are you on and can anyone get it?

Rejoice in the awareness of feeling stupid, for that’s how you end up learning new things. If you’re not aware you’re stupid, you probably are.

I think it comes into the category of 'so bad its damn good'. I mean the characters int he film aren't even taking it seriously:pac:

    lol

What other activities partaken after 30 imply a developmental issue?

Playing video games? Eating toast? Wearing hats?

I'm starting to worry that you genuinely believe the things you say.

Wrong, actually - turns out I do remember it, and it's a pretty good song by Irene Cara (who had starred in Fame) and Giorgio Moroder. It's just not called Flashdance:

Death has this much to be said for it:
You don’t have to get out of bed for it.
    Wherever you happen to be
    They bring it to you—free.

Bob Dylan displayed his truly awful acting skills in "Pat Garrett and Billy the Kid"(he was clearly out of his head throughout), but he also wrote the soundtrack.
