streaming no longer working

    orb no longer works on the xbox

    seemed to stop working all of a sudden

    i don't think the problem is on the network pc running orb

    i get 'content unplayable' errors for all the movie stuff

    could a firmware update cause this?

    Have you tried using ps3mediaserver? It works on the xbox fine (using it at the mo for streaming).

    tried it b4 ,if i recall i had trouble with it and tversity
    might give it another go
    I just have a suspicion the problem coincided with an xbox update

    I've always used ps3mediaserver and it worked grand.

    Did you install any new software like a firewall\anti-virus that could block connections? I'm not aware of any new updates to the 360 though.

    The update was a while back-orb not working a while
    I restored an old image backup to see if it was a pc issue-still gave same error

    Could be the file you're trying to play then. What are you trying to stream?

    Can you play it on your pc/laptop? I know certain codecs/formats don't work on the xbox.

    i just went into network settings on the xbox to check everything and i was prompted to update

    downloaded,updated and rebooted a couple of times i think
    and lo and behold ps3 media server is working:D -no errors

    so was my theory right??

    Seems so! Wasn't aware of any recent updates (or can't remember the last one to be honest!).

    But sure if it works now after the update...That's it...for that sentence.
