Sam to caller "Just be wary, I feel that someone is trying to take advantage of you"

Yes, that would be YOU Sam!

None of the callers seem to be satisfied with Sam's answers

Sam seems a bit shaken after that poor widow caller - either that or the producer told her tone it down a bit.

That woman sounds really sick and lonely. They should have Age Action, Samaritans number up on screen,, as mentioned before. I don't believe what they say about giving out those numbers at the end of the call.

The callers are hanging up during the calls or right at the end so how could they get the numbers

Agreed - if there was any genuine concern, the number would be given out before the call reached the studio, and allow the caller to save their money.

Only really looked at screen, spotted the "carrier" and now understanding the pigeon joke. Had to look twice, thought my spelling was bad.

It would suggest that they have no staff with adequate training.

They just don't give a damn. Whether the staff have adequate training or not, surely at least some of them would understand what the callers are going though. It's just pure greed with this show. And staff not saying anything in case they lose their jobs. As I said before, maybe we could get someone from one of those organisatons to listen to some of the shows.

They should also be given the phone number of the callers so they can also speak with them to get a better feel for the people. That would be proper monitoring

Agree, must have told her to stop. Yeh they are definitely reading the posts.

Now to focus on "does that make sense?"

    Twice in that call

She's off on the "jump on" again

  • Registered Users Posts: 3,282 ✭✭✭BMollie

JUMP ON, JUMP ON...think she just can't help herself... after the show she'll probably be roaring her head off in the toilet room :D (toilet room was Flathan's reference to the bathroom)

I saw that before switching off (literally!), wondered did they ever correct it, lol. Flathan probably hacked in to their system. Watch out for coded messages from him tomorrow night...;)

There is an interview with wayne in the irish daily mail today, apparently it was his last night last week and he's trying to break america. He says how if someone pays for a reading its better than if they hit the bottle or gamble their life away. Ironic how most of the people who ring in are doing that anyway
