    Sounds like she's either:

    a) Reading from a teleprompter

    OR

    b) Being told EXACTLY what to say by the producer.

Was definitely no flow to her speech during part of that reading.

I'm feeling very sorry for this caller.

Yeah she said "I was just told that" which I presume came from something taken down by the person who screened the call and put it through

Poor Sally, it must have taken a lot of courage to phone.

She should be speaking to a qualified therapist or psychologist not some dizzy bint with tarot cards

You can see Joanne's eyes flick up and to the left when the producer is talking to her. not much of a poker face there Joanne

This is where she should be able to go back to the producer for further help.

Agreed, but unfortunately at this hour of the morning when things like this really play on your mind these fakes are all that are available.:(

Exactly and PRL/ESO/TV3 should be obliged to keep logs of when callers are referred to health professionals.

How the hell are the callers not copping onto the cold reading and all the bloody questions

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,992 ✭✭✭flutegirl

John needs to know where he can go to meet women!

I guess if people are prone to being suggestible and gullible then they aren't watching out for the tell-tale signs. Its the same as people who sign up for things off door-to-door salespeople.

They most certainly are prolonging the calls...

I suspect it's an attempt to cover up the lower caller numbers.

    Think I'll head off now.

As much as I hate to leave fresh meat when they're dying roaring, I'm really sleepy.

I'll do a pricing log tomorrow if she's back on, but for tonight the drawn out nature of the calls and the thought of how these people will react when the bill comes is making me sad. :(

    Nighty-night.

    PS: John = LOCKED.

    Where will this call go??

If this guy is genuine he needs to be referred elsewhere.

She got some advice from the ear piece there

  • Registered Users Posts: 14,009 ✭✭✭✭wnolan1992

    Caller definitely dropped.

I suspect he would have said something along the lines of: "Well, I'm not married, so HA!". (In my opinion).

And I'm gone this time! :)

I don't think that this one can even read cards, it seems that the camera shot of the cards is being fed to whoever is speaking to her through the ear piece.

The questions she's asking I could ask and get the same information, it's about asking the right questions to give the desired answer.

I'm not a physic but I would have told the last caller that the love of his life would first see him in a situation where he is relaxed, smiling and enjoying himself.
