    AFAIK, the BAI can fine them, but as of yet all they've done is made them air a statement.

    I imagine it's because (relatively speaking) the breaches of the GCCC on PRL are never going to be as severe as, for argument's sake, TV3 news running a story that X politician is an axe-murdering-rapist-kidnapping-puppykiller.

    The BAI have the power to take them off the air. But sadly this power has never been used.
    The worst realistically is for the BAI to force them to broadcast a statement and the print media keep reporting the breaches. TV3 will be forced to act sooner or later.

    Remember also only 2 BAI meetings have been published so far and others are in the pipeline and if TV3/ PRL keep falling off the wagon after only a few days then that doesnt look good either.
