They don't care.

This is simply a pre-emptive strike before the decisions of November's BAI committee are made public this week.

It's an easier sell to Joe Public who doesn't know what's been going on to say that they tried to get the show to change and they couldn't agree, as opposed to "We were sick of the complaints being upheld and the bad press."

Bad public image I assume (although their regular broadcasts like that Larry Murphy thing are bad enough)
