How to get to cresent shopping centre from city on bus

Hi lads, Im going on the bus from Newcastle west to Limerick bus station on saturday, No problems there. But I am struggling to find a bus that goes from the Bus station ( or somewhere close in the city) to the cresent shopping centre and back.

Any Idea of a bus that does this?

Take a walk down town to Debenhams (on the corner of William St and O'Connell St) and the 304 or 304A leave from there and both stop outside the Cresent!! Coming back just get the bus from the stop on the opposite side of the road from where you get off!!

I think they have all been moved to outside Debenhams now, not 100% though, its years since I've been on a bus!!

How often does that bus go? And what price for a return trip?

The 304/304A or the 312 bus all go to the cresent, they say they leave about every 20 mins (Acuracy isn't BE's strong point) and it costs €1.70 each way, or you can get a Day Saver which allows you to travel on as many busses as you like for €3.70

Every 10 minutes I think! Not sure on price, I'd reckon about 1.70/1.80, can't see it being much more than that!!

Same here, and I think you're right about the stop now being outside Debenhams.

Last time I got a bus it was Todds.

If you don't mind a bit of a walk, you can get off the NCW bus at the hospital and stroll from there.
The bus from town now goes from Debinhams. Its a bit of a walk from the station to there, i would just walk from the hospital! A very small extra walk and you save the time and money of going into town and back out again.

The bus from Newcastle West stops at the Regional hospital on it's way to the Bus station as part of it's official route. You could get off there and walk to the shopping centre, or get a bus from the bus stop right across from the hospital and that would drop you at the stop outside the shopping centre.


Some of the drivers on the Newcastle West to Limerick route will drop people at the shopping centre stop so ask your driver as you are getting onto the bus.
