    There used to be one in Thomastown before, on the left before Lidl coming from Dublin.

    I think it moved into Kilkenny. There's a big enough one, Koverto out in Purcellsinch. Nice too see a little manufacturing return, low-end and all as it may seem.

    Heard these jobs are definitely going into Purcellsinch Ind Estate.

    There's a (new?) sign up on a building there, pretty much opposite Koverto saying "Kilkenny Envelopes" I think... not sure if there's any connection?

    Possibly. Though wasn't there a co by the same name a number of years ago? But it's possible this new ventures' Irish division is called Kilkenny Envelopes now as well. Hopefully first of more to follow.
    Kilkenny's Financial services sector seems to be weathering the reccession pretty well but there were several manufacturing casualties like Kilkenny Printing, NN Euroball.
