Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

learner permit question

    i'm doing my theory test tomorrow, if i pass and bring the paperwork and app for the permit into my licence office will they give me the permit straight away? if not how long does it normaly take to get it? reason i ask is that i want to go somewhere on the bike on the 11th august and need to do an ibt as well!!

    They don't give it to you there an then, but I brought in all my documents, and it was posted out to me the very next day. Don't forget to have your eye test done, and a medical if you need one.

    You'll definitely have it within the week anyways, and you can do the IBT over just two days, so you should be well sorted by the 11th. :)

    Depends on what part of the country you're in - Drogheda have a 5 week turnaround time for licences (at least they did when I renewed mine last year - added a month to my restriction time till I had words and had it amended!!)
