Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I'm not going to post this in the gardening forum or whatever. This is something that we're all familiar with.

But what's the story with slugs this year?!? They're everywhere. I'm looking to buy a few hedgehogs for my garden. This might help cull them. What do they offer to the food chain anyway (if hedgehogs are one of the few animals to feed off them)

I have a similar problem with ants. I would love to buy an anteater

Get a revolver and dole out some justice on them.

    A flamethrower is also optional.

or you could go with the cheaper option and use some table salt

Bury a jar with the top level with the ground, put some expired beer in it, they love beer and will die happy.

They're divorced snails. The other half got the house.

Guess i'm opposite to the serial killers, I always save the snails by moving them to the side of the path in case they get stood on, sentimental part of me ;)

Baking soda makes them ants blow up like a balloon, salt and copper wire/copper tape is something, slugs and snails don't like. I wouldn't use any chemical stuff, when you have other pets in the garden.
