Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

SUMMONS FOR DRUG DRIVING OFFENCE

    I wanted to find out instead of having to ask my solicotor as i owe him money already but is there a time limit for the summons to be issued i was caught in november last year and i seen on the citizen advice web site that they have 6 months to issue the summons.. is that still the law or is it different now any help appreciated just would love to no am i grand or not

    P.S Didnt no what thread to put this in the any admins feel free to move it :)

    That's still the law as far as I know. Looks like you're in luck.

    yeah hopefully i seen some ppl saying it could take up to a year but on the citizen advice online site said that it takes 6 months.. jes if it still is the law im lucky, this has been on my mind for ages now

    As far as I recall, they only have to have the summons signed by the local District Court Clerk within that six month time-frame. i.e. once its signed by then, they could send it out to you at a later date. I'm not sure if this has changed recently though.

    From what I know there is 6 months but the garda can always apply and get it extended for another 6 months

    its a hard one to call these days with all the laws changing.. hopefully the law is still the same, i do no a lad that was caught drink driving and recieved the summons within 2 months of it happening, i recieved the lab documents about having no drink in my system and the one for the drugs but never got a summons its 8 months now since it happend
