Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I rang a new dentist there as my old one seems to have ceased trading...as he's not answering his phone...

prsi covers hardly anything these days she said, and an extraction will be €90 ....

this country rots me, as well as my teeth......

Would you like him answering his phone while he's drilling your teeth?

prsi only covers 1 cleaning a year as far as I remember. Dentists are a rip off in the republic.

Ah here. A check up doesn't even cover an x-ray ffs.

I signed up for VHI's dental insurance. I am going to milk them for every penny I can over the next few months.

I had to pay 105 to get a molar pulled last year.

It was either that or pay over 1000 to get a root canal and a crown!

    Much cheaper in NI.

I got a complete overhaul for less than a week in Vegas would cost.

I broke a tooth last year, right down the centre and the Dentist said it would need to be pulled. But then he informed me that if the other half broke while he was pulling it and he couldn't extract, then I'd need canal and a crown which would cost around €1,200.

Luckily he got it, I was not going to pay that much.

You have to pay through the nose for a dentist here.
