Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Utter cúnts IMO

The following are my thoughts and not fact.

They exist in my opinion to keep their fees high. They milk the system, with the help of other in the system.

They would appear to be a good example of what we all claim to hate.

Do you mean the Law Society (which regulates Solicitors) or the legal professional in general?

To be honest, your post gives the impression that you don't really know what you are talking about.

Have you a good valid reason for that sweeping statement or what?

Are you talking about The Law Society as an organisation or about solicitors themselves?

The law society. One would or may (not saying) assume you two are lawyers......

No Im not, sorry to disappoint you! The reason I asked was because your comments appeared to be geared more towards solicitors. Considering I wasn't the only one who asked, it was a fairly reasonable question and if you're going to make presumptions that everyone who asks for a bit of clarification is a solicitor then this thread is going nowhere fast!

One would assume wrong. But I did work for a solicitor for quite a while and I did have a couple of dealings with the Law Society.

Regarding dealing with excessive fees, which seems to be the core of your complaint, this can be dealt with independently of the Law Society by asking your Solicitor to refer the bill to the Taxing Master.

I think the complaints process could be streamlined a bit, but I'd probably stop short of calling them utter ***** to be honest.

Ah come on now PC CDROM don't sit on the fence tell us what you really think!

I have to say i agree in spirit with what your saying. There are some honest solicitors im sure but the vast majority are there to profit from others misfortune.

Lets say i have an argument with you and we can't settle it. We both have to pay solicitors and barristers and SC and what not to translate our argument to legal speak and back again. It's then presented to a judge or jury who decide who's right.

I can't see the need for the vast majority of legal professionals. I think there only there to generate profits for themselves and ensure the legal system favors those who can afford them.

If you want to be giving out big time about a particular society I suggest a non-public forum.
Starting a thread about how utter ***** they are with no sources or no examples or anything isn't helping your cause and got this thread closed.
