How much of a fkin levy are we paying for you Joe?
Think it's €170 a year RTE levy. Although I've been listening to liveline for about 6 years and Joe has never mentioned it once, so it might be gone.

I'm sorry he ran his own business and didn't know who to charge VAT to, has a hint of the dog ate my homework about it!

Probably because there is no such thing as a €170 a year RTE levy.

Bad enough with the existing €160 a year TV licence tax.

It really is worrying, you wonder how much we can take. I have visions of dublin city with boarded up shops, the current walking dead druggie zombie count multiplying by 1000's and living on the boardwalk. It is very depressing :(

It's not worth setting up you're own business here now, with rules and rates, there's way too many rules in this country now, and sooner rather than later we will loose lots of jobs to other country's who don't have the level of crazy red tape that is destroying companies here.

the revenue are like the drug dealing gangster. " I want my money and I want it now. no negotiating just a bullet in your head"

As small business owners get screwed with taxes and rates see the tax take drop and the cash go into the business mans pocket to pay suppliers and staff. revenue need a good beating around the head

Duffy is annoying me again today.. Takes a side swipe at Mick Wallace for not paying VAT. Mick didnt pay the VAT cos his business was on it's knees and there was no credit available from the bank. He did intend paying it... Joe set himself up as a contractor to RTE to INTENTIONALLY reduce the amount of tax he would pay to the state... Morally, who is more wrong?
