Since when was anyone entitled to make a living - in their chosen discipline? I am sure there are a few Barbers out there who hate the sight of hair, but they cut it because they make money from it. I'd love to play with Lego all day but unfortunately there is no government funding for it.

If this was a buke about Cork, Galway, Limerick or Waterford, it wouldn't get a second's mention on Liveline.

Galway City Museum is fully open all year round Joe.

As are the many art galleries, theatres and exhibition spaces in the city.

Only one problem it seems - they're not in Dublin.

Why do you need many staff in a gallery surely a few security guards is all you need once an exhibition is up and running?
