    Because its a hospital. I've never been in a hospital when I had anything else on my mind other than getting inside either to get treated or see a loved one. I appreciate the girl on the phone can't know my individual situation, but surely a parking ticket, which I can pay tomorrow or in a day or two would be better. Not wandering out to the car park in shock after the death of someone only to find the car clamped.

    A pay on exit system would make more sense in a hospital where, as has been pointed out, you don't know how much time you're going to take in there. But, of course, that wouldn't suit the clampers!

    Total non issue. All down to the phone manner of the lady in the clamper's office. Had she been a bit nicer to the man, there'd have been nothing more than a slight annoyance. 25 minutes on national radio just because of that.

    They should address hospital car parking though in general. I've been a few times as a patient, and trying to pay by the hour in advance in an Irish hospital is a joke.

    A full Five days this week, and Joe has such a horn for this subject I wouldn't be surprised if he goes at it again all next week, has them lining up at this stage and it's doing wonders for him what with breaking in the new nipple clamps.
