    Wheres mammy?

    She was shot in town

  • Registered Users Posts: 5,141 ✭✭✭Yakuza

I thought it was like the wild west when it came to armed robbery at that time

Bank robberies were reasonably common, but actual shootings / weapons discharge was rare. Then again, I could be remembering things with rose-tinted spectacles :o. Certainly, someone getting shot was newsworthy for a few days. These days it's more like "meh".

Whats the point of all this...there is no connection between the two stories at all..

    400K a year lads and ladies..400k..

A guard would have probably got 100k for that.

Whereas a soldier would have gotten €3.5million for damage to his hearing caused by the gunshots.

Shure I spose aside from trying to help the woman, what else would you be doing only taking photos of her.

    STOP SAYING CATASTROPHIC...

listen to this selfless pap...poor man got grief for profiting off an elderly woman that got shot.

Read an interesting article on photographers recently and the remorse/guilt they felt looking back at some of the photos they took instead of doing more to help at the time.

Robert doesn't seem too traumatised though!
