I've been tuning in and out as its not the right place for a woman like that to be exploited, but did her sons commit suicide or was it a drugs overdose? But the lady mentioned alcohol problems? As I say I was tuning in and out so may have picked it up wrong.

I agree. However there are people out there who think this is brilliant radio. I'd say most of his listeners actually. They don't care about this woman. They think they do, but they just like hearing tragic stories and talking about them and then saying things like "we don't know how lucky we are" etc.
I'm not sure what a suicidal person gets from hearing story after story of suicides.

Sitting here crying listening to that poor mother....before she called I was moaning about a sore toe, my house having to be cleaned, the rain, among a hundred of things jesus did that give me the hard kick I needed.

what a lot of suicidal people get ,is the encouragement to do it,as they hear other people were able to do it..

I had a vision there of Joe sending around his researchers with A3 posters advertising the Lahhvhlahhn number on the walls of A&E's up and down the country.

After all who needs The Samaritans, SOS, Pieta House or whoever when Quack Joe is there ready to make you cry your eyes out for the great god of entertainment.

Joe seems to think that talking, any type of talking, about suicide helps suicidal people.

    I don't think it does.

He talks in detail about HOW people do it.

He talks about voluntary services, but only mentions their names in a rushed a vague way, and never gives any emergency numbers or anything. THAT might be more helpful.

i wish more pain and suffering to all those who are actually enjoying this ..

Sorry I know I said I was out but I just can't help myself.....Is Joe suggesting with actual sincerity that the suicide epidemic isn't helped by the lack of posters/leaflets?

He asked if the numbers for various organisations were on the walls of the A&E.
