    Strange how the multitude of former Gardai who ring in when Joe is covering some "cold case" murder never bother to call in when something like this rash of daylight robberies are taking place, without, it seems, a Guard to be seen anywhere on the streets.

    I had to stay in Brussels last Friday night and went to a pub beside my hotel, Noisy inside so I drank outside and talked to the doorman as he let people in and out. One guy came along and was refused admission but kept pestering the doorman for at least 40 mins, The guy then tried hit the doorman and a barman so a fight broke out, within seconds 2 policemen were on the scene and 2 non-uniformed police made swift work of taking the guy away.
    It was nice to see an efficient police force in action.

    She's rambling from one thing to the next. I think she has a point, but it's very, very vague. Some anti-bank agenda. I don't disagree with her, but she's not the clearest of communicators (and I'm being generous here).
