    overthrow of absolute monarchical rule in England not killing Irish people, and the statue in outside the place he made a real place of power.

    So you think it's okay for the British to commemorate Cromwell for his overthrow of Charles I, but to completely gloss over the fact that he was a mass muderer in the process?

    Cromwell was born, lived and died in England and held the protectorate of the throne there for over a decade in the 17th century and helped alter the course of British history.


    Che Guevara visited Ireland once. On a brief stopover in Shannon Airport.


    Declan Ganley lives in Co Galway, not Westminster.
