If you see the original report that line is underlined twice and in bold text..

In fairness to the BAI they have it Etched out on the front of their building.

ffs, I turned off that creep Brendan Keenan, him who predicted that the bank's losses would be about 5%... only to go back to RTE to hear Austin Hughes, who predicted a soft landing... It's seems that broadcasters have a shorter memory than the markets..

well the HSE and the advocacy network had their chance to come on the show and put their side of the story across, but "nobody was available".

    f*ck em!

I doubt the person who answered the HSE switchboard had any idea what the researcher was on about. And those who did were probably unavailable to go looking through correspondence in preparation for a nonsense discussion as they most likely had real work to keep themselves busy.

I was being sarcastic pointing out that HSE staff aren't all that sane.

The complaint and findings will be read out at some stage during the show.

As far as I know Liveline does not have to apologise, although I think they should.

Speaking as the voice of experience, the HSE will very rarely provide a spokesperson to comment on anything. Their usual line is "We'll get someone to get back to you" and then silence.

    Here we go.

Is that Jean Byrne reading the complaint ?

There it is. Will he comment on it, nope.

Complaint judgement being read out now, Joe couldn't face doing it.

Here we go.. two editions of the liveline program. There was no attempt to present an alternative view.. ? In just TWO editions, are they joking?

Slap on the wrist for Joe.

Long-ass comment there about those complaints, and not a word from Joe himself?

  • Registered Users Posts: 4,425 ✭✭✭telekon

That's it Joe. Head in the sand as always, nothing to see here...

Now for fluff pieces for the rest of the show.

No mention of it, no mention of his mistake, no personal apology (as it was a mistake by HIM alone)... The fkn arrogance of it all. It's not just Tubridy, the whole lot of them in there are living in Wonkaland.

I doubt anybody would sue him if he just said "Sorry."

Because the rest of us that don't work for the state at a reasonably high level aren't all poor.
