if you knew anything about the syndrome itself..you would know that there is nothing that can be done...thats why the man wanted to kill himself.

so pumping more and more money into it would be futile.

the father of the girl was obviously in denial but rte dont give a toss and put him on air to entertain us..

do i have to explain anymore?

I am suggesting that the British Government would have been better off putting the money into research of the condition, so that future patients or victim might gain from such research. I didn't suggests that they try to keep him or other victims alive through the courts or that they even try to keep them alive outside the courts.

I didn't think he was entertaining, his daughter is in hospital in serious condition and he has hope to hold on too.

Should we stop funding research into all diseases because it is totally futile?

look elmo,if you want to have an argument about your opinions and things,go ask oscar or big bird will you,or maybe snuffleuppucus can argue the finer points of cancer research with you..

is that enough attention for you?

Damo - "Sorry for interrupting you, i do it all the time"

This must be the first time anyone in RTE has ever apologised for such behaviour towards callers or interviewees.

Damo can expect a rap over the knuckles for criticising the house style :D

I didn't want to argue the finer points of anything. I was just saying that the UK government did waste money on his court case and perhaps that money would have been better of in research. Can I not have an opinion? Maybe that opinion is wrong and it is a futile one.

The count is a better debater than Big Bird and oscar is just a grouch!
