Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

A player breaks someones leg in a reckless tackle; it was purely accidental.

The ubiquitous "Are X and X Done?" threads whenever a team goes through a bad spell.

Arsenal fans crying about the incredibly rare instances when people get leg breaks as if a broken leg = death. Key words usually being "reckless" or "excessive" (although it's only ever reckless/excessive if there is an injury done, otherwise its the kind of tackle you see a good few times every game).

Broken leg is an occupational hazard for a footballer. Man up people.

Nah, Balotelli got away with a worse than reckless tackle last season that Arsenal fans were very annoyed about despite there being no injury resulting from it.

    2. The insular Football View of a small but significant number of League of Ireland posters.

    3. Posters becoming apoplectic at a Minority view being expressed.

The result is for me, it reaffirms that Football Supporters are some of the most Conservative, narrow-minded members of my Community.

It's the same like 'It is normal, that...', isn't it?

I refuse to believe that could be true!

SF posters terming 'tackles' that would be assault in any other place of work as 'part of the game'.

I agree, cards and suspensions should just be for racial abuse.

Having travelled abroad for loads of European games I can tell you that LOI fans are probably the LEAST insular you will find.

The absolute needless fanfare of starting match threads with images of the clubs badges/kits/players/history/groundsmen.

The outrage when a Match Thread does not have said images of the clubs badges/kits/players/history/groundsmen.

1.) the Martin O' Neill debate.

2.) Selective memories on some fans when a player dives and they give out, but as quiet as a mouse when there own players do it.

3.) the "these things even themselves out" B.S excuse for point 2 above.

4.) my cock is bigger than your cock

    5.) recipes for omelettes ;)

Pats fans always complaining in European threads that UEFA have it in for them and they will be drawn against a team from [insert backward country that is far away and difficult/expensive to get to]

    Every year :pac:

On that note; the wider body of SF participants being experts at how to revitalise the domestic game/league in the annual LOI club going out of business thread.

    Again on that note.

Every July/August Fans of EPL teams telling fans of LoI teams that they should support other LoI teams in Euro games.

As if they'd support any other EPL team in Europe.

But they expect LoI fans to support other LoI teams because "we're all oirish init".

    Condescending assholes.

Being told by Irish people that will never, ever go to a domestic game that being called names on the Internet will make them never ever go to a domestic game.
