Samsung Galaxy S won't switch on

My wife charged her phone the other day and when she went back to it, it simply wouldn't turn on. Has anyone any idea what the issue might be? Thanks.

did you try another battery?

Take out the battery, SIM and SD card and wait ten mins; then put the battery back in and insert the charger.

When it's fully charged reinsert SIM and SD.
