Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I have an iphone 3gs which has not been synching with my computer for the last few months. Now i am getting an error message when i try to charge it. It says it is not charging.
If l leave it in overnight plugged into socket it will half charge.
Is this a connection problem or a problem with the battery.
    has anyone had this problem

It could be your battery and your dock, if it's not syncing I'd imagine there's a problem with the dock connections.
If you buy a battery, either buy an OEM Apple 3GS battery, or save the old battery for restoring as a non OEM battery will give an error while trying to restore. The parts are inexpensive and fairly handy to put in.

These 2 parts should solve your problem, just don't try restore your phone with the new battery in as it will cause an error, or just buy the more expensive OEM Apple battery.

Or if your handy enough you can desolder the circuit board off the original battery and solder it onto the new battery, this should fool the phone into thinking its the original battery still in there and avoid restore errors.
