How good was he on that tour though? He was a bit of a slow burner IIRC but exploded into life against the Waratahs and then in the 1st and 2nd tests was unbelieveable. If only he were 22 again!

very strong rumours out there that madigan is in. have spoken to a few of the hopefuls this morning and they know nothing. dunno whether this is a good sign or not

None of the players have been informed ahead of the announcement according to Gatland although I'm sure one or two might have been tipped off, off the record.

I think the captain and those in the running for the captaincy will know. This is why I would take all rumours with a pinch of salt. Still it will be interesting to compare the actual squad to the one published by Stephen Jones on Sunday.
