Driving without due consideration?

Picture this.
Driving my car,I come to a set of traffic lights(red) three cars in front,whem the lights turned green the first car then indicates to turn right(this lane is for straight on and right turn).I give the horn a couple of short blasts.I then have to lock the wheel to enter the inside lane(also straight on & turn left lane).As I reach the lightrs I try and get the drivers attention,I get the finger from him.I continue on straight and return the gesture out my window.Then the second car in the group pulls out behind me and turns on the blue flashing lights(unmarked garda car).I get pulled over and after the usual checking of documents(all in order)basically get told to expect a ticked in the post for driving without due consideration.I tell the guard the late indicator should be getting the ticket,and get told to argue in court if I want to.Ticket arrived E80 & 2 points,and I am wondering is it even worth my while risking going to court,as more points and fine if its not thrown out.
