Groupon keeps sending emails despite unsubscribing?

I unsubscribe from groupon emails offers about once a week, it seems to work for a few days but then they just start sending them again. From my google searches it seems to be a common issue among other people as well. I'm going to just block these emails but I'm wondering are there any implications to what they are doing?…
