Beached Dolphin Pilmore Beach West Youghal

Hi. I was asked by a friend to post this up if anyone could help - there is a beached Dolphin in Pilmore Beach West Youghal which came in today at 13:30. Some bystanders there but noone as of yet able to help out. Thanks!

Dolphin got rescued in the end thanks to the help of 4 lads who lifted the poor fella over a sandhill and into the channel that led it to open water. He swam off strongly from there so alls well that ends well!!:)

Wonderfu;; that it didn't end up like the Kilbrittain whale...

happened years ago in crookhaven we had to dig him out and he eventually swam off. He got beached chasing fish in and the sand banks and tide got the better of him. Thankfully he/she went off ok.

no it was 1996 the beach past crookcaven 12 of us dug him out
