Cheap Preamp with SPDIF Output?

    Looking to pick up a cheap enough pre with SPDIF to expand my Tascam US1800 for an extra couple of channels. Anybody know of any?

    Define cheap?
    Audient Mico would do the job.

    Around 250 probably, it's just for demos in an untreated room.

    Mico is a bit pricier than that.
    I think Art might do some stuff in that range, Joe Meek might have done in the past too, but not sure about either's current products.

    Doesn't have SPDIF, just ADAT.

    Looks like the ART stuff might be my only option, I could pick up a used DP for my budget hopefully.

    Does have to be SPDIF??

    Firewire an option??

    Plenty of second hand firewire units around.

    Yes it has to be SPDIF as I'm just looking to expand my existing interface, not buy a second interface.
