What's the lifespan of a budgie?

    Mine is currently 5 years old. But I'm worried about her.
    I think she might be on the way out. She sleeps a lot & recently
    sleeps on bottom of cage not on perch. Her appetite is fine.
    She makes very little noise lately. No chirping or singing

    Since this thread is still open I presume maybe an answers still needed?
    Budgies lifespan can be roughly 10 years give or take. If a bird is looking poorly then it should always be treated as an emergency. Look at diet, air quality, out of cage time etc. those kind of things should be looked at when assessing the health of the bird. If in doubt or a bird is not perching, take the bird to an avian vet.
