Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Sheva:
"Perhaps, I will shock everyone: my future has nothing to do with soccer," Shevchenko wrote in a statement on the Dynamo Kiev website. "It is related to politics."

Only one of my favourite players of all time, I believe he was Milan's best ever Striker (Yes, even better than Van Basten).

His scoring record at Milan and in the CL is incredible.
Easily the bets striker of his generation (Yes, better than Henry).

Don't know why it all went pear shapped at Chelsea, Glad he rediscovered some form at Dynamo.

Untill Milan signed Ibra, he wasn't properly replaced, not by a long shot.

Thing's I'll always remember him for.

The goal against Inter in the CL semi final to put us into the Final.

The winning penalty in Old Trafford against Juve.

Leading Milan to Lo Scudetto and winning the Balon D'or in 2004.

    And THAT goal against Juventus.

Good luck Andriy, you were one of a kind :)

Fantastic striker, but a bad run with Chelsea I suppose.

35 years old too, standard age to retire I guess.

One of my very favourite strikers growing up. Was the reason (along with Rui Costa and Kaka to a slightly lesser extent) that I had a soft spot for Milan for many years and always looked out for their results, and rooted for them when in the Champions league... except when they played Liverpool of course :p

Was so happy for him that he had his moment in his country at the Euros. If anyone deserved it, it was him.

    Going into politics?

Didn't realise he was heading back to Chelsea.

    Favourite player ever.

Pity it didn't work out for him at Chelsea. He had it all and no ego.
