Looking for a resturant in Dublin city centre and am trying to pick one from a list..

I don't have Chapter One on the list as it is closed for 2 weeks and already have been in One Pico and Unicorn so they are not on the list either.

    - Pearl Brasserie (looking like the best option so far)
    - Bang
    - L'ecrivian (doesn't seem to be on top of its game over last few months?)
    - Merrion Hotel
    - Fallon & Byrne (has this gone down a bit since their financial problems?)

Looking for good wine as well. Its for me and my brother.

    Whats worth going to?

    Thanks

Pearl all the way - you won't be disappointed

    Was in Bang last night.

Food was good, wine was good, service was excellent once we got past the snotty Maitre D'.

Have to say though that I wasn't terribly excited by it.

I know it's not on your list - but I'd look at The Greenhouse too - am hearing a lot of good things, am dying to give it a go!

I'd go with Pearl from your list above.

Me too, I have heard great things for this.
I though L'ecrivain was very good but not 'wow' which I got from other M stars.
Heard pearl is very good too

Greenhouse would be my top choice in Dublin at the moment, no question.

Locks Brasserie is also owned by the team behind Pearl, so you may find it similar.

But there's no doubt about it, The Greenhouse is great food.

Hugos, almost across the road from Bang on Merrion Row, is a lovely restaurant as well.

Some luck I have. Greenhouse is also closed on the 10th August for renovations or something. So thats Chapter One, Pearl Brasserie and Greenhouse all closed!!
