Although I'm not a target rifle shooter by any stretch of the imagination, confining myself to the various practical/tactical shoots here and there with my simple old Krico 650SS, there ARE a goodly number of serious shooters in my little club of 248 members who, between them, account for a LOT of money changing hands 'twixt them and the various barrel makers here in UK.

With the likes of the 6.5-.284 burning a barrel out in less than 1500 rounds, it is vital that any comps are timed to get the best out of a barrel for the longest time before accuracy at that level falls off to the unacceptable and a new barrel is the only way to get form back.
