When I smoked I liked Carrolls

I tried Benson & Hedges and Major but found them too strong
Tried Silk Cut Purple but too weak, popular with the wimmins though

So I liked Carrolls, they were just right. And they were make in Dundalk I think

Do they even make these anymore?
I don't know since shops don't have displays

    L&M blue.

Unfortunately not sold over here so I stock up when on holidays.

If I'm forced into buying Irish cigs, I'd usually get Marlboro lights.

sounds like you're conscious of your habit and are switching to a weaker smoke to make yourslef feel better but really it's just as bad if not worse cos youll overcompensate by buying more to get the effect. so just smoke something proper not bitch smokes no offence man :P

I was a Marlboro lights guy or Amber Leaf for rollies. I'm off them now. I miss them not.

    Marlboro Red.

I've seen stereotypes for pretty much every cigarette but them. In America they're southern cowboy types (pretty much like their advertising.) I've never seen a stereotype for outside America though.

    Such as:
    Johnny Blue: Knackers
    Marlboro Lights: Lovies and posers
Benson and Hedges: Mid-thirty to mid-forty marketing types.
    Silk Cut: Fake smokers
Drum: Hippies and people waiting for a paycheque
Amber Leaf: Younger hippies and stoners
All the cheapy ones: People being cheap
    Major: Serious old-school smokers
    Marlboro Red: ???

I remember being told not to smoke Rothmans coz the filters were fibreglass... as if the toxins and so forth weren't bad for you.

And vogue are only smoked by complete and utter twats. Worked in a shop for a year and I'd say they were bought 5 times.

    I like you Lyaiera ;):D

I've smoked all the major brands by now.

Started out with Benson and Hedges because they had a gold box. :o
John Player Blue because everyone at school smoked them.
Marlboro Red because no-one else smoked (or wanted) them.
Samson because you could get it cheap from the dodgy guy on the street.
Drum because it's cheaper when I'm coming up to pay day.
    Lucky Strike because they're different.
Marlboro Lights because I ended up with a fair amount for free.
Silk Cut because my granny smoked them.

I'd happily switch between B&H, Marlboro Red and Lucky Strike now though. The rest I find awful.

It's rather telling when I go in and ask for blue Rizla and 20 Johnny Blue, you'd nearly want to buy the damn things in seperate shops!

I think you should check your grammar here. If I'm right you have just said that if you do not smoke it will kill you.

I think the sentence you needed to produce should of being " no, smoking kills"

    Thanks for listening.

I always feel so awkward buying them, it's so obvious like. Why are they even legal to sell?

Because it's a piece of paper with glue on it at the end of the day :pac:
