Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Anyone done this themselves and had success with it? My battery keeps dying and I can't afford the 80ish Apple want to replace it.

I haven't but my brother in law has and it's not for the faint hearted.

He looked it up on YouTube. Unfortunately for him he looked up the wrong phone.

He has a 3G and looked up the 3GS. They might look the same on the surface but that they are different to take appart.

You need to take everything out of the phone to get to the battery.

In the end he messed up and broke the vibrator and the eBay battery is hardly better than the original battery that he replaced.

Yeah i wouldn't go doing it yourself unless you were confident about it. Lots of places will do replacement batteries cheap. You can get one from this guy for €20. Don't know what the quality of the battery would be like but for that price it might be worth a shot.

*No connection with the company, just think they're good value.

Thanks for the replies. I successfully changed the screen in an ipod touch and had to take quite a lot of it apart to do that, not sure if the iphone battery is trickier though
